Our Moment - One Directions Fragrance

One Direction have officially taken the world by storm not content with just being the biggest Boyband at the moment. They have a movie, a make up range and every other product imaginable for their fans to lust after. This is there first fragrance and like all of their products is set to hit the top of the charts. I picked myself up a sample a few weeks back.

So is One Moment just a perfume for the 1D fans?

I don't think so at all, I really like this perfume. With most of One Direction fans being teens, I thought it would be quite sickly. Instead pretty and dainty scent. It does have the sweeter tones you would expect from a perfume aimed at the younger generation yet has more depth to it, with a musky base. Making it more suited for women of all ages, with a like for floral fruity scents.

The Floral notes make the perfume feel really feminine With the hint of fruit adding a fresh and clean layer to the scent. The perfume has good lasting power and isn't to overpowering like a lot of sugary scents. Instead it is delicate and ladylike.

They say :
The sparkling, juicy and feminine fragrance is made up of splashes of fresh fruit and seasonal flowers infused with undertones of warm musk. The pink grapefruit, wild berries and redcurrants, combined with the delicacy of jasmine petals, and frangipani with the dry woody tones of musk and patchouli leave an enticing and playful scent on the skin.

The bottle is perfect for any girly girl with its pink crown lid. It would look lovely on a dressing table. I think the packaging is really cute and playful.

The fragrance is nothing new or very original. Yet it is a pretty scent, I would definitely wear and purchase it. Overall I think Our Moment is a lovely perfume that all women can enjoy. The price of the scent is brilliant as well so if you are looking for a cheaper new perfume definitely check this out!

Have you smelt this fragrance? What are your fave scents? Do you like floral and fruity perfumes?

Lots of Love,

Urban Decay - Revolution Lipstick - Naked - Review - swatch

Urban Decay Lipsticks have had a lot of hype around them and I'm normally quite sceptical about hyped up products as I'm often left disappointed.

I certainly wasn't in this case, This lipstick is without doubt my new go to lipstick. The packaging is gorgeous and is a purpley chrome with real weight behind it making it feel as expensive as it looks. I love the angle at which the lipstick is cut as it makes application a breeze.

The formula of the lipstick is beautiful its rich and creamy yet not at all cakey. Unlike many other long lasting lipsticks the formula isn't at all drying and is actually one of the most moisturising lipsticks I have used. It is almost like a balm as it feels so light on your lips. It gives full opaque coverage with one stroke and doesn't settle in creases. Which is fantastic as even the most highly rated lipsticks still do this is you have really dry lips.

This Shade is called Naked and even though its a light nude/pink it still has amazing pigmentation. It is a very natural shade almost like the colour you wish your natural lips would be. So is perfect for everyday wear or pairing with a dramatic eye. The shade is subtle yet classy and is my new favourite nude. It doesn't drain you of colour like many nudes do, as its more pink based rather than beige. Its almost a warm pink with the ever so slight hint of beige. I think this shade will flatter most skin tones because of this. It wears beautifully and even without use of a lipliner stays put all day with only the slightest fading

Have you tried these lipsticks? What are your thoughts? Which shades are you lusting over?

OOTD Navy and Nude

I love the look of navy and nude pink. I think the combination of them together is stunning! This look is casual yet stylish. I love the way this outfit can take you from a Saturday meal with the family to out for drinks with the girls. This is the perfect autumn look, layers are still big news and are perfect for the chilly London weather. Where it can be sunny and warm one minute only to change to cold and windy the next!

I love purchasing classic shades as its so easy to work them into the current season by pairing with the right accessories. Nude Heels are without a doubt a classic and  are a staple in my wardrobe as they go with anything and help dress up any outfit. Navy jeans or jeggings are also a must have as I think navy is a flattering shade which always looks classy.
One of my favorite things about this look is every piece I can pair with other pieces to totally change up the look. Also I love the fact that every piece is really reasonable in price. Here is where my outfit came from and the price of each piece.

Blazer - is now in the sale at primark for £10.00
Nude Vest - £5.00 Peacocks
Navy Top - £10.00 H&M
Navy Jeggings - £7.00 Primark
Scarf - £5.00 Primark
Nude Heels - £35.00 Linzi.com

I hope you like this look. Would this be a look you would wear? Have you got any similar pieces? Do you like the colour combo?

Remembrance poppies nail art

Here in the UK and all over the Commonwealth is known as Remembrance day. On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month is the day the First world war ended. Many brave soldiers gave there lives during The War and many wars since. Today at 11 O'clock people all over the country stood still and silent for two minutes, to pay  their respects to the millions of people who where killed, injured and are still fighting for us today, in the armed forces.

The red poppy has become an emblem of remembrance day as during the Great war. Many of the bloodiest battles were fought in Flanders, where the red flowers bloomed across many of these battlefields. There red colour reminding us of the blood spilt of those in the war.
This year I have not only been wearing my poppy. I thought I would add some poppies to my nails. I hope you like them. I personally love them and am proud to show my support to the men and women of the armed forces.

I used Barry M red glitter on my little fingers. W7 red shade on my index fingers. The other nails I painted white. On my ring finger I used the W7 nail polish to create the poppy and used a black diamonte for the center of the flower. On My thumbs I used the red glitter polish to create the poppies and also added a black diamonte.

To create the poppy shape I used the rounded end of a pin dipped in the selected nail polish. I then created a 8 shape but tried to make the top and bottom of the eight less rounded.

I think it is so important that we never forget those who have given their lives for us, to be free as we are today. So if you would like to buy a poppy to show your respects or make a donation please visit The Royal British Legion who help so many affected by war and insure that we never forget.

Are you sporting your poppy today? are you going to have a go at this nail art idea? Have you observed the two minutes silence today?
Lots of Love,
 Laura x

Cheap dupe For UGG Alloway ear muffs!

While shopping for winter warmers this week I came across These Alloway glitter ear muffs from UGG Australia , I really like them i think they are really cute! Yet with a £70 price tag, can I really justify paying this for ear muffs? I will probably only wear a handful of times.

So I set myself the mission to find a cheaper alternative. After searching the internet for ages I came across these Sequin Ear Muffs from Matalan although not a perfect match they are still similar and pretty! Plus the £4.00 price tag has won me over! I'm also really keen on the white ones, so I might get both!

Would you pay £70 pound for ear muffs? What do you think do you think are these a bargain? Will you be wearing any ear muffs this winter? Have you found any dupes of more expensive products lately?

Lots of love,
Laura x
