The Righteous Butter

The Righteous butter - body butter - Boots - body lotion - scented body products - soap and glory -review - swatch

I can't get enough of Soap and Glory's products and this is one of my personal favourites. The righteous butter is a deliciously creamy Shea and Aloe Vera filled body cream. With the beautiful original pink scent.

Although I don't find it as moisturing as body shops body butters the fact it dries so much quicker is much better for days when you can't hang around like a oiled up chicken lol. Even though it dries quickly, it does still leave your skin feeling really soft and supple. Without leaving the skin greasy.

One of my favourite things about this body butter is the scent it's lightly perfumed but unlike other scented body butter it lasts well on your skin. I also find although I love fruity scents of other body butters, they just don't complement my perfume. I find the scents actually battle against each other rather than harmonise well together. Were as the original pink scent of this lotion works well with all of my favourite Perfumes.

Although not the most intensive moisturiser available the quick drying power and the fact it makes your skin feel soft and smell amazing makes this a must have.

Have you tried this body butter? What are your favourite soap and glory products? Which body lotions do you use religiously?

Lots of love,

Mac Rihanna Viva Glam Lipstick

Mac - Viva Glam - Rihanna - Lipstick - Red - review - swatch - Riri

The packaging of this lipstick is gorgeous and comes in a deep red with a velvety feel to the packaging which is of course adorned with Rihianna's swirly signature on the casing.

Viva glam Lipstick is described as a blue- Red with a frost finish. I personally love a Blue red as I think they are flattering to most skin tones and make your teeth look a lot whiter than orangey based reds. I would describe this as a neutral red, It doesn't really lean towards cool toned or warm. It is certainly a bold and deep red! The frost finish gives a real timeless feel to the lipstick more so than the retro matte formula. As the frosted finish makes the shade feel brighter and bolder.

Mac - Viva Glam - Rihanna - Lipstick - Red - review - swatch - Riri

The frost gives a real subtle shimmer to the finish without any drying and is surprisingly creamy on the lips. The formula is really long wearing yet my one doesn't have the classic vanilla scent which you come to expect from Mac Lipstick. It doesn't really have much of a scent at all. Yet this is an amazing lipstick and all in all a real classic red.

If that's not reason enough to purchase this lippie all the proceeds are going to help people living with or affected by HIV and AIDS. Get your own here from Debenhams or here from MAC.

Nail art has grown in popularity in recent years, with nearly every beauty lover dabbling in the trend in some way. Well now the latest trend in the nail art world is to decorate your cuticles as well as the nail.

Although not a new idea the trend has only recently taken of. Some say its due to the many of today's celebs getting there fingers inked, with popular stars like Miiley Cryus and Cara Delevingne getting permanent tattoos on there fingers. Whatever the reason sales of these stick on cuticles tattoos have rocketed.

And there was me thinking the whole fake stick on tattoos was something I left behind when I hit ten lol. All you have to do is add water and voila your bang on trend.

What do you think of this trend? Is it just a passing fad or will it be around for seasons to come? Will you be jumping on the bandwagon or do you think its all a bit naff? Let me know what your views are by commenting below.

L'oreal skin perfection moisturiser

Loreal - Skin perfection moisturser - skincare - day moistursier - swatch - review

This has swiftly become my favourite day cream. I have been using it religiously since it was recommended to me by a close and really good friend. I had commented that her skin looked really fresh and clear, She stated it was due to this new cream she had been using. So the next day I didn't hesitate at purchasing it myself.

New Skin Perfection Day Moisturiser helps transform the appearance of skin quality, as if perfected. Pores look virtually undetectable, tone looks more even, skin texture feels silky-soft.

The silky-smooth cream locks in moisture for up to 24 hours of hydration.

In your 20's and 30's your skin is still young but not always perfect. Stress, fatigue and an unbalanced lifestyle can affect skin quality causing irregularities to appear: imperfections, enlarged pores and an uneven skin texture.

The packaging is really pretty and looks much more expensive than it is at £9.99. It comes in a glass pot with an ombre pink affect on the jar and a pink mirrored lid. It is really girly and will look beautiful on any dressing table. The scent is light and powdery and in no way overwhelming and the cream its self has a very slight pink colour to it.

Loreal - Skin perfection moisturser - skincare - day moistursier - swatch - review

The formula is thick and creamy, yet it is extremely lightweight when applied to the skin. It glides beautifully over the skin and leaves my skin feeling soft and supple, without feeling at all greasy. L'oreal appear to have perfected their cream formula as with other day creams, The formula is too thick and more like a night cream. This is light and airy on the skin so perfect for those of us that suffer from combination skin.

I am really impressed at the results this has given me. I really suffer from visible pores and although I use toners and other products to help make them less visible. Since using this I have seen a real difference. I never thought a moisturiser would be able to help my pores but I guess I was wrong because this really has.

This moisturiser has now won it's place as a staple in my skincare routine and at a fraction of the price of many other skincare products I own, I will without doubt repurchase this and save myself some money. I'm blown away with this moisturiser and I will be investing in the rest of the range. You can view and purchase the entire range here.

Have you tried this or any other of the products from this range? Which cheaper skin care products have blown you away? Will you be buying this cream?

Lots of Love,
Laura x

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Native

Urban Decay - Revolution lipstick - lipstick - Native - review - swatch

This is described as a pale pink this is a must have shade for any pink lipstick lover. It is a light pink with a warm undertone. It is lightweight and a creamy formula, which leaves a slight sheen to the lip. As I have said before I really suffer with dry lips and this is one of my favourite formulas of lipstick as its not at all drying instead it is really moistursing to the lips.

Urban Decay - Revolution lipstick - lipstick - Native - review - swatch

What it is:
A luxury lipstick that delivers intense color payoff plus creamy shine.

What it does:
Revolution Lipstick is rich, buttery lipstick at its best—with the signature Urban Decay pigment-rich color you crave. Addictive to apply (and even more addictive to wear), Revolution Lipstick glides on without dragging or skipping and hugs every curve. Just one swipe gives you a big, gorgeous lay down of color. And with shades that range from gorgeous nudes to bold brights, there’s something for everyone.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

What else you need to know:
Urban Decay’s Pigment Dispersion System™ gives Revolution Lipstick its super creamy texture, intense pigmentation, superior color dispersion, and extended wear. Maxi-Lip™ defines and hydrates lips while making them look plumper and fuller. And a nourishing blend of jojoba oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter and shea butter keeps lips super moisturized and cushiony soft. The luxe, custom-designed gunmetal tube (lined in Urban Decay’s signature dark purple) looks so gorgeous, you’ll want to keep pulling it out of your bag.

Suggested Usage:
-Use with 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil, available in a range of shades specifically designed to coordinate with Revolution Lipstick.
-First, line your lips, or, better yet, fill them in completely. 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil actually primes your lips for Revolution Lipstick by grabbing onto the color to help it last.

Urban Decay - Revolution lipstick - lipstick - Native - review - swatch

Its a really beautiful shade it is a really pale and almost a pastel pink. Yet it is really pigmented and gives an opaque look with one swipe. However not as long wearing as Nude which is the same formula, Which you can read the review for here. It settles into your lines and where the shade is so much lighter. I think it is more apparent where the lipstick has worn off, where as were naked is more natural it is harder to tell, where it has faded or rubbed off.

Urban Decay - Revolution lipstick - lipstick - Native - review - swatch

It reminds me of MAC's Angel with a slightly bolder pink tone and a more opaque finish. This Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick shade and others are available here from Debenhams. Have you tired this shade? Do you like this pale pink colour? Which Lipstick have you been wearing lately?

Lots of Love,
Laura x

Naked palette 3

Naked 3 - eyeshadow palette - Urban Decay - make up - review - swatches

I was lucky enough to get this palette pretty much as soon as it launched here in the UK as a birthday pressie from my in laws. (They know me very well!)

Since receiving it I have alternated between this and my Nude'tude palette which you can find the review of here. They are pretty much the only eyeshadows I have worn through the whole of December and January. I love palettes as you get high quality shadows for such a good price plus you can play around with the shades and the amount of looks you can create are endless.

This palette is full of pink and purple shades which I really enjoy using. These colours go perfectly with the colour of the moment Rose Gold! I also really love these shades against my greeny blue eyes they really make them pop and the shades are really flattering.

Naked 3 - eyeshadow palette - Urban Decay - make up - review - swatches
.
Strange - A pale whitish pink with a matte/satin formula.
Dust -  A warm metallic babypink with gold shimmer. High fallout due to the iridescent micro glitter
Burnout - Light peach pink shade with a slight pearl finish

Limit- Light mauve/rose shade with cool to neutral undertones. Matte formula

Buzz - A warm metallic Rose shimmer with sliver micro glitter

Trick - A warm metallic copper shade with multi-tonal glitter particles

Nooner - A light brown/mauve matte shade with warm to neutral undertones

Liar - A shimmery metallic brown/taupe shade with slight warm undertone

Naked 3 - eyeshadow palette - Urban Decay - make up - review - swatches

Factory- A golden based brown mauve. with a slight pearl finish

Mugshot - A taupe/mauve with a metallic finish.

Darkside - A cool toned purple with grey tones. A Pearl finish.

Blackheart - A matte smoked black with reddish undertones and red glitter particles.

The only downside this palette has is that I did find Strange slightly powdery and the shades with micro glitter did have a lot of fallout but this is expected with these sort of shadows but they are definitely not shades to use in a rush lol.

One of my other favourite things about this palette is that you get a weeks worth of eye primer with it! Also I find no matter how high quality the palette the brushes provided with them are never up to scratch. However the double ended brush you get with this palette is amazing quality. It is the only free palette brush, I ever use. Most just get ignored lol.

Have you tried this palette? Which shade do you like best? What do you think of the brush?

Lots of love,
Laura x
