Essence haul and gifts!

Essence - Haul - Nail polish - nail varnish - nail stickers - nail art - brights - pressed powder - mattifying compact powder - beige - pure skin - anti spot make up - Glossy lip balm - cherry brownie

After trying essence when my gorgeous friend Nia sent me some goodies I couldn't wait to get my hands on more and luckily I didn't have long to wait as they launched their brand over here in the UK not long ago! However I still couldn't find it in any stores to have a good look at their products. That was until I took a little stroll over to my local Wilkinsons!!!

I actually did an audible gasp and ran over when I saw their products lol. After discussing the brand for a while with the other customers, and enlightening them on how amazing this brand is l I dived in and picked myself up some gorgeous goodies! I'm so glad to finally have a bunch of products to try out and fingers crossed they will live up to the gorgeous lip gloss and blusher I already own.

Essence - Haul - Nail polish - nail varnish - nail stickers - nail art - brights - pressed powder - mattifying compact powder - beige - pure skin - anti spot make up - Glossy lip balm - cherry brownie

First up I bought another cute little lip gloss called cherry brownie! I already have Strawberry shortcake and love the scent and hint of shimmer in that one. The texture and the colours of these really remind me of juicy tubes so snapped this one up at £1.00.

Essence - Haul - Nail polish - nail varnish - nail stickers - nail art - brights - pressed powder - mattifying compact powder - beige - pure skin - anti spot make up - Glossy lip balm - cherry brownie

I also picked up a bunch of nail polishes. including 4 of the candies collection as I loved the look of the pastel shades. I would have got the others if they were there especially as they are only £1.80 each but they didn't have them in stock.  I got two nail polishes from the colour and go range a purple called break through and a yellow called Wanna be your sunshine, which cost £1.60.

The blue glitter called jewels in the pool polish! which was £2.00, I couldn't resist as it looks so sparkly and will look gorgeous with some sparkly sandals and a tan. Also for my nails I got two packs of nail stickers one is multi coloured strips for creating funky lines and the other is stars and studs perfect for more rocky looks, which are only £1.30 per pack

Essence - Haul - Nail polish - nail varnish - nail stickers - nail art - brights - pressed powder - mattifying compact powder - beige - pure skin - anti spot make up - Glossy lip balm - cherry brownie

Also I was gifted these two essence products by my beautiful friend Gemma as they were to dark for her! So although I didn't actually buy them I'm including them as they are new and from the brand lol! They are both in the shade Beige. I'm really impressed at the coverage of the foundation and how soft it leaves my skin. It does have a slight medical scent but I'm guessing this is due to the anti spot ingredients. The powder is smooth and buttery to the touch and blends beautifully.

So far I'm still loving Essence and can't wait to go grab some more bargains.
Have you tried any Essence products? What did you make of them? What cheaper make up brands do you love?

Lots of Love,
Laura x

Fake Tan Friday - Laurens Way rapid self tan 60 minutes

Lauren Goodger - Tan - Lauren's way - Solution 60 - tanning - fake tan - self tan - medium tan - mousse tan - swatches - review - one hour tan

If you're a fan of fake tans you will have noticed Laurens way has been gaining in popularity over other tans in the past few years. While more and more of us are reaching for the tan our expectations are increasing.no longer will we put up with the orange patchy tans of yesteryear. As a massive tan fan herself Lauren Goodger knows what a tan user wants from a tan and has set about creating a range of different tanning products that tackle these issues.

The latest issue Lauren's way are tackling is the amount of time it takes to fake tan. One of the things that is most annoying for tan users is the amount of time needed to prep for a tan and wait for it to develop. If you have a spontaneous night out you risk either looking patchy and orange or looking pasty.

Lauren Goodger - Tan - Lauren's way - Solution 60 - tanning - fake tan - self tan - medium tan - mousse tan - swatches - review - one hour tan

Well now with the new Rapid tan getting a sunkissed look is quicker than ever before. With a light tan only take an hour to develop!

Laurens Way say:
Love having a tan but hate the developing time? Then our all new Solution 60 self-tan rapid range is the one for you.

This express self-tan bronzing mousse develops into a gorgeous golden glow from just 60 minutes, allowing you to choose your shade. Apply with a mitt then leave the tan on for 60 minutes before showering for a light tan, 2-3 hours for a medium/dark tan.
Solution 60 bronzing mousse is a velvety soft, self-tan formula which is easy to apply and can be used on both the face and body to provide a silky smooth glow.

This tan is available in both a mousse and a spray. I love tanning with a mousse as its so easy to apply with a mitt without any running or streaking. One of the things that also makes it easier is the colour guide which shows you exactly where the tan has been applied. So you can be sure you wont be getting a patchy tan with white bits where you missed a spot.

If this wasn't good enough they have also tackled the age old problem of smelling odd after tanning. This tan is infused with citrus and fruit extract to give a fresh aroma. Although there was still a slight whiff of biscuits.

When you first wash it off you may feel a bit disappointed as it does look a little pale. What a rapid tan actually does is reduce the time you need to leave the formula on for. However once the formula is washed off the full colour will still be developing on the skin so your full tan will not be fully developed till 8 hours later. So dont be shocked if you start to look darker as the day goes on. So if you are going out I recommend tanning in the morning or the night before and then washing off and your full tan will be ready for when you want to dance the night away.

Lauren Goodger - Tan - Lauren's way - Solution 60 - tanning - fake tan - self tan - medium tan - mousse tan - swatches - review - one hour tan

The tan gives a natural sunkissed look which lasts a good five days before fading. It gives such a professional finish you look like you have been away for a few days. I really do like the quickness of the development time as it makes it so much easier to tan. I'd love to try a Lauren's way lotion formula as I now much prefer the finish of a lotion.

Have you tried any of Lauren's way tans? What do you make of celebrity tans? Have you tried any other celeb tans? Let me know all your thoughts by commenting below!

Make up Revolution - The one foundation

The one Foundation - Make up Revolution - foundation - matte finish - medium to full coverage - swatches - review - highstreet foundation - make up - makeup

After being really impressed with the make up revolution products I have tried previously I thought it was about time I checked out their foundation range. Their foundation has had some rave reviews so I couldn't wait to try it out.

It comes in a pretty and professional looking little bottle that is reminiscent of a small Mac Face and body.
The bottle is rather small but considering it's only £4.00 its a real value for money! It has a droplet applicator which I really like. However the formula is quite runny so you do have to be careful that only the desired amount comes out as it does have the habit of running everywhere with the gentlest of squeezes.

Shaking before use is a must with this as it really is on the runny side. So you want to make sure the foundations ingredients are well mixed as this also thickens the formula slightly. It is quite sheer but can easily be built up for medium coverage. Its really blendable and even if built up it is really lightweight!

The one Foundation - Make up Revolution - foundation - matte finish - medium to full coverage - swatches - review - highstreet foundation - make up - makeup

One of the things that impressed me the most about this foundation is the range of shades and tones available! The foundation is currently available in 16 shades which for a highstreet make up range is amazing. The shades range from white to a dark brown shade so you stand a really good chance of finding your shade. Or for the price if a normal highstreet foundation, you could by two and mix your own custom made shade. Also I was really impressed with the tones as it can be quiet hard to find a cool toned foundation but this range even has those.

The one Foundation - Make up Revolution - foundation - matte finish - medium to full coverage - swatches - review - highstreet foundation - make up - makeup

This will be Your ONE Foundation. ONE shade for everyone Using Revolutionary fusion technology The ONE Foundation adapts to your skin tone and texture to give a flawless finish. Due to its liquid formula, it is easily build-able and applied The ONE Foundation gives full coverage resulting in a matte finish. Available in 16 shades to suit every skin tones.

The one foundation really left my skin with a beautiful finish not cling to any dry patches like many matte foundations and leaving my skin feeling soft and not caked in make up which I find to be an issue with cheaper foundations All in all I'm in love. For the price I'm blown away and if you are a fan of highstreet foundations then this is a must try.

Have you tried Make up Revolution yet? Which of their products do you have your eye on? Which highstreet foundation would you recommend? Let me know all your thoughts by commennting below.

Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara

Soap and Glory - Thick and fast - Mascara - thickening mascara - make up - review - volume mascara
I love Soap and Glory's skincare and body products. I haven't really tried their make up range and I have heard amazing things about this mascara. I was really excited to give it a go. I love thick and full lashes! Mega volume is a major selling point for me, and with this being its main claim. It was only a matter of time before I tried it.

The packaging is quite plain but chic none the less with Thick and Fast written in bright pink against the black high shine plastic tube.

Soap and Glory say:
This super volume mascara creates amazingly, longer, fuller, fabulous lashes. Featuring SUPERFILL™ False Lash Fillers, SHINE AMPLIFIERS, NOFLAKE24 technology and super-fine no-clumps natural wax film formers. *While we don’t feel it’s ladylike to brag, we’re feeling particularly bullish about our mascara. (And hope after trying it you’ll agree that it’s absolutely marvelous.)

Soap and Glory - Thick and fast - Mascara - thickening mascara - make up - review - volume mascara

The brush is a big bristle brush which  tapers to a smaller end which is perfect for getting into the corner lashes. The only issue I have with the brush is it takes on too much product but this can be easily solved by wiping off excess formula before applying.

I was expecting the formula to be too heavy to hold any curl but this doesn't seem to be an issue, holding my curl for the day. It did take a little while to dry so maybe not for those in a rush as you will get black smudges all over your brow bone. Yet once it has dried you wont get any smudging at all which is great for us girls with watery eyes.

Soap and Glory - Thick and fast - Mascara - thickening mascara - make up - review - volume mascara
The formula is really glossy and jet black! I often get flakes with my mascara from applying so many coats but as Soap and glory claim this isn't at all an issue. Nether is clumps yet I am not sold on this mascara I found it did separate every lash and give them a good coating.  but from further away looked rather grouped together  which  made me look like I had thick but sparser lashes! Its not a look I hate but not what I was expecting. The mascara did however really deliver on length and really opens up the eye.

I did like this mascara and will continue to use it as a day mascara as I love the natural full on fluttery look However the look is far too natural for my ideal mascara!

Have you tried this mascara? What did you think? What do you look for in a mascara? Which mascara are you using?

Lots of Love,
Laura x

Fake tan Friday - Karora tinted self tan mist

Karora - tinted self tan mist - fake tan - self tan - spray - bronzed bombshell - medium tan - dark tan

As a tan addict I love finding new tans to try! I was recently contacted and asked if I'd like to try Karora tan mist! After being much more adventurous in the types of tans, I'm using lately I was really excited to have a go at a at home Spray or mist.

I got the darker version as on a night out or at the weekend I would normally go for a deeper tan. Also with lots of my friends coming back from exotic holidays I feel pasty with even a medium tan. Normally when I want a darker tan. I build it up by continuous use of lighter tans at home. Which is hard work to keep it even and non- patchy, plus annoying! Or I'll get a spray tan from a salon but that can work out really expensive.

The brand Karora, is from Ireland and has become a staple in high end salons and spas. One of the reasons being its products are filled with an amazing range of ingredients.and unlike a lot of other fake tans are free from skin drying chemicals.

Karora Say :
We promise to bring you fresh and flirtatious products always infused with the unexpected using super natural skincaring botanicals and formulas free from nasties

Karora - tinted self tan mist - fake tan - self tan - spray - bronzed bombshell - medium tan - dark tan

The packaging is absolutely gorgeous and the product looks luxurious and of really high quality. With the product feeling quite weighty and even the spray nozzle itself being well made and sturdy. No sign of leakage even after being used repeatedly.

The tan couldn't be easier to apply simply spray the mist on your mitt, and apply to the skin. The colour guide makes it really easy to see where you have already applied the formula. It was easy to blend and didn't leave me with any patches or streaks which can ruin even the most natural shade.
The mist  dried really quickly and instantly and felt really moisturising on the skin. The scent is lovely and doesn't have the fake tan scent at all. The scent is citrusy and fresh smelling but it isn't at all overpowering which I really like.

Karora - tinted self tan mist - fake tan - self tan - spray - bronzed bombshell - medium tan - dark tan

The shade is beautiful, leaving skin with a natural deep tan and a healthy sheen. One of my favorite things about this tan was how soft and supple it left my skin even days after first being applied.  I put this down to all the high quality moisturising ingredients such as aloe, acai berry, argan and coconut oil. It fades naturally with out any weird patches forming.

BRONZED BOMBSHELL - dark
Deep dark bronze glow with skin conditioners for long lasting colour
Flash the flesh with some spot light stealing colour. A guiding golden tint gives instant glow gratification and develops into a dark Brazilian bronze glow that fades incredibly evenly. Botanical extracts lock in moisture guaranteeing complexion perfection and long lasting colour that fades incredibly evenly.

We make the art of dark easy with this tinted mist that creates an instant rich bronzed effect while our custom colour develops into a deeper darker natural looking tan.
Flash the flesh with this long lasting tan that’s got a perfect fade and is packed with skin beautifying botanicals and aromatic fragrances.

Karora - tinted self tan mist - fake tan - self tan - spray - bronzed bombshell - medium tan - dark tan

Being a darker shade easy and even application is one of the most important factors. As any mistakes are magnified, I can safely say this is one of the best tans around for an even olive toned tan! I really enjoyed using this and would without doubt buy this as I love the shade and how my skin feels.

Have you tried Karora? Which darker toned tans do you love? Which tan would you recommend for a dark tan?

Lots of Love,
Laura x

Illamasqua sonnet lipstick

Illamasqua - Sonnet - Lipstick - Matte lipstick - swatch - review

I'm a massive fan of Illamasqua and I love a nude lip so when I saw this lipstick. I knew I had to have it. Sonnet is a cool peachy nude with a matte finish. It's the first light matte nude I own.

The finish is extremely matte and fully Opaque which I love. The formula is quite drying even more so than all the other matte formulas. I have used previously, such as Mac's retro matte. So even with the if you have soft lips, you without doubt need to apply a lip balm underneath. To stop the lipstick drying out your lips. The texture is really odd it feels almost waxy on the lips. It seeps into any dry lines and exaggerates them so not one for those of us who have lips on the dryer side.

The colour is really pretty yet it is quite hard to pull off, due to the finish. I wish it was slightly less matte, as I love the shade yet think it would be alot more flattering in a different formula. The plus side to having such a matte finish is the durablity this is one of the longest wearing lipsticks I own. It lasts a good 5 hours without the need for touch ups and is super pigmented with just one swipe.

Illamasqua - Sonnet - Lipstick - Matte lipstick - swatch - review

So after not being to fond of this super matte finish, I decided to add a little clear gloss over the top. Hoping this would soften what looked like quite a chalky finish on my lips. I also put a little bit of lip balm over the top for a more everyday look. I'm really glad I did as I find that this makes it alot more wearable for me.

Illamasqua - Sonnet - Lipstick - Matte lipstick - swatch - review

This is my first Illamasqua lipstick and it hasn't put me off, I will just make sure I stay clear of the matte finish. This finish really isn't for me, I already struggle with fine lines on my lips. This just didn't do me any favours and made them stand out even more. The next Illamasqua lipstick I buy will be a satin finish! Fingers crossed I will get on alot better with it as I love the shades Illamasqua produce.

Have you tried any of the Illamasqua lipsticks? what did you think of the formula? Have you tried any super matte lipsticks? Did you find them difficult to wear? Which shades have you tried?

Lots of Love,

Fake Tan Friday - Whitetobrown instant tan

Whitetobrown - tanning lotion - fake tan - self tan - instant tan - review

I was recently contacted and asked if I'd like to try a tan I hadn't heard of before called Whitetobrown. If you read my blog or follow me on any social media you will no I'm a fake tan addict so I was really excited to give it ago!
The Whitetobrown instant tan* is a liquid and should be applied with the mitt provided. It comes in a clean white bottle with a minimal white to brown logo on it.

I have been slightly set in my ways and haven't really used a lotion for a long time. As since I tried mousse tans I found they where much easier to apply and create much less mess. Although I do find that they don't give as flawless a finish, or last as long as lotions and spray on tans.

whitetobrown's instant tan gives the signature golden whitetobrown glow immediately, so you no longer have to wait for beautiful tanned skin! Fast-drying, easily absorbed and with a FREE application mitt, you can expect a natural and flawless colour every time.

The tan applies really easily for a liquid tan and the fact the liquid is quite dark means its easy to see where its applied and where you need to blend it more for an even and natural look. It is so easily absorbed and dries really quickly. It smells amazing almost like a cherry cough sweet. Although It gives an instant colour the tan takes 6- 8 hours to fully develop so you have to avoid any contact with water until then.

White to Brown uses an ideal pH balance which allows them to work in harmony with the DHA in tanning products in order to optimise your tan.

Whitetobrown - tanning lotion - fake tan - self tan - instant tan - review

Once washed off you are left with a stunning natural looking golden tan that last 5 days on me before faded nicely and didn't even go patchy. Unlike a lot of other tans I have used this doesn't dry your skin out at all and leaves my skin feeling soft and looking like I actually have a natural tan.

I absolutely love this tan and would definitely purchase. The fact that it gives such a professional, natural looking tan for such a low price is amazing! And the scent is just the cherry on the cake. I can't wait to try out more products from the range. I cant recommend it enough, Its the most professional looking at home tan I have tried. You can get your hands on this for only £11.99 from HSDonline here.

Flashmob Liquid Electricity Eyeliners

Flashmob cosmetics - Liquid eyeliner - review swatches - pink - blue - yellow - purple - neon

If you haven't already you can check out my introduction #flashmob cosmetics with a quick look at the products I was sent to try hereToday I'm going to have a Closer look at the Liquid Eyeliners I received in the Liquid Electricity set*.

This was probably one of the products I was most excited to try as bold eyeliners have been all over the catwalks for this current season. Also Its an easy way to change up your whole look in one sweep.

#Flashmob say:
Amplify your chances of second glances with these Liquid Electricity liquid eyeliners. The four bold shades are infused with micro glitter to create bold and dramatic colour for the eyes. Whether you add subtle flicks or bold bright lines, these liners let your eyes do the shouting.

Im really impressed with the pigmentation and love the beautiful packaging. You can get #Flashmob cosmetics from amazon at really amazing prices. You get four different shades in the Liquid liner set A pink, blue, yellow and purple.

Flashmob cosmetics - Liquid eyeliner - review swatches - pink - blue - yellow - purple - neon
Amplified - A pink shade, which when applied comes across as a light candy pink with a strong glitter the least pigmented out of the shades.

Flashmob cosmetics - Liquid eyeliner - review swatches - pink - blue - yellow - purple - neon

Hot Wired - A light blue shade. This highly pigmented bright blue fully opaque finish with a strong glittery finish.

Flashmob cosmetics - Liquid eyeliner - review swatches - pink - blue - yellow - purple - neon
Shock Therapy - A yellow Shade. This shade appears like an eclectic yellow in the bottle. Yet applies more of a bright lemon yellow. Takes a few swipes to give an opaque finish.

Flashmob cosmetics - Liquid eyeliner - review swatches - pink - blue - yellow - purple - neon

Incandescent - A purple shade. A vibrant violet with a light shimmer and glitter particles. I love this shade and have worn it the most out of all the shades.

All the eyeliners are quite runny in texture. They take a little while to dry but are all really pretty colours. The colours look quite scary in the bottle but when swatched although still bright are in fact alot more wearable. Yet still bright enough to make an impact.

They wear brilliantly without any flaking or smudging which is a must with eyeliners for me. I think if you want to venture into the bright and neon make up trends this is one of the easiest and least scary options available. Perfect for creating that pop of colour for the summer months. Especially if your hitting the festivals.

Have you tried a bright eye look yet? Which colour so you like the look of best? Will you be trying the trend? Let me know all your thoughts by commenting below.

Lots of Love,

Luxe London Princess necklace with discount code!

Recently I was contacted by Holly from Luxe London and asked if I would be interested in trying one of the gorgeous necklaces they sell on their site. When I first saw this Princess necklace* on their Instagram, it was love at first sight.

On a gold link chain this gorgeous crystal like necklace would go with almost any outfit. Dressing up a plan top or with a dress for full on glamour! I waited excitedly to receive my parcel. I wasn't at all disappointed being even more breath-taking in the flesh. This really is a piece of jewellery fit for a princess with the design mimicking that of upside down tiara.

Statement jewellery is still a big trend and will be for foreseeable seasons. This will without doubt be my go to statement necklace for all seasons. I love that the jewels are clear, meaning it will look beautiful next to brights and pastels. Or the darker shades of the autumn and winter.

I am obsessed with this piece, I haven't stopped wearing it! Or looking at its sparkly stones. Hanging on a golden chain the princess necklace is backed onto brass making it quite weighty and substantial. Meaning you don't have to worry about it being flimsy. It is of really high quality and looks so much more expensive than it's £12.00 price tag.

The princess necklace will be launching later this week, So keep your eyes peeled! Luxe-London.com is filled with the most beautiful pieces at real bargain prices. I really recommend you check out the site and have a peek at the stunning necklaces and gorgeous shades available. I already have my eye on a few! If you are looking for a treat for yourself or as a gift, your bound to find a piece you love.

I'm also really excited to announce an EXCLUSIVE code to Tease Flutter Pout readers! For an amazing 20% discount on all items!

I would love to hear which necklaces you buy with the code!

Bedhead Headrush Review- With before and after pictures

Bedhead - headrush - review - swatch - hair products - shine spray - finishing products - TIGI

No matter what the hair colour one of the things that makes a girls hair look amazing is it's shine. My hair has been every shade under the sun and I'm still forever changing it. This however really does take it's toll on the health of my hair and nothing says healthy hair like a shiny head of locks.

When Chemist direct asked if I would like to review BedHead Headrush* I jumped at the chance after searching high and low for products that will help add a bit of sparkle to my hair.

It comes in a funky looking pink bottle with a lime green lid and looks high quality which is something I would expect from a brand as well known as TIGI. Like other Bedhead products It does have a strong scent but I love the fruity smell.

TIGI Say:
Shine Adrenaline with a Superfine Mist.

Super fine shine spray that will go straight to your head. This lightweight mist gives your hair extreme gloss with all-over coverage.

- Adds depth to highlights and colour
- Eliminates static
- Smooth, healthy finish.

It is weightless mist that adds a non greasy sheen without dragging your hair down. Which is perfect for me as I already apply products quite a few products to my hair. So its important that my products are light weight and not too heavy or my hair will look caked in product. I also like to be able to run my fingers through my hair and find many shine sprays add a sticky feel the hair shaft. This mist is really quick drying, it left mine soft to the touch. Almost like I had no product in it.

I use this on my dry already styled hair and it adds a natural glossy look to your locks. You only need the smallest spritz to add a healthy sheen but I love that it can be built up to a mirror like shine without looking greasy. I do recommend if you try this though to avoid your hair looking like it needs a good wash.

It wont add any hold but I don't expect this from a shine spray. I have used in conjunction with a extreme hold hairspray and this still added shine a noticeable shine which is big plus. It does help tame flyaways but other than that it really just does what it says on the tin, add shine.

You can get your own from Chemist direct for £9.99

Overall I would definitely purchase this for myself in the future as it really has made a noticeable difference to my hair, It looks shiny and healthier plus it smells amazing! It looks even glossier when my hair has been straightened so I will without doubt be buying this when it has run out!
