Essence haul and gifts!

Essence - Haul - Nail polish - nail varnish - nail stickers - nail art - brights - pressed powder - mattifying compact powder - beige - pure skin - anti spot make up - Glossy lip balm - cherry brownie

After trying essence when my gorgeous friend Nia sent me some goodies I couldn't wait to get my hands on more and luckily I didn't have long to wait as they launched their brand over here in the UK not long ago! However I still couldn't find it in any stores to have a good look at their products. That was until I took a little stroll over to my local Wilkinsons!!!

I actually did an audible gasp and ran over when I saw their products lol. After discussing the brand for a while with the other customers, and enlightening them on how amazing this brand is l I dived in and picked myself up some gorgeous goodies! I'm so glad to finally have a bunch of products to try out and fingers crossed they will live up to the gorgeous lip gloss and blusher I already own.

First up I bought another cute little lip gloss called cherry brownie! I already have Strawberry shortcake and love the scent and hint of shimmer in that one. The texture and the colours of these really remind me of juicy tubes so snapped this one up at £1.00.

I also picked up a bunch of nail polishes. including 4 of the candies collection as I loved the look of the pastel shades. I would have got the others if they were there especially as they are only £1.80 each but they didn't have them in stock.  I got two nail polishes from the colour and go range a purple called break through and a yellow called Wanna be your sunshine, which cost £1.60.

The blue glitter called jewels in the pool polish! which was £2.00, I couldn't resist as it looks so sparkly and will look gorgeous with some sparkly sandals and a tan. Also for my nails I got two packs of nail stickers one is multi coloured strips for creating funky lines and the other is stars and studs perfect for more rocky looks, which are only £1.30 per pack

Also I was gifted these two essence products by my beautiful friend Gemma as they were to dark for her! So although I didn't actually buy them I'm including them as they are new and from the brand lol! They are both in the shade Beige. I'm really impressed at the coverage of the foundation and how soft it leaves my skin. It does have a slight medical scent but I'm guessing this is due to the anti spot ingredients. The powder is smooth and buttery to the touch and blends beautifully.

So far I'm still loving Essence and can't wait to go grab some more bargains.
Have you tried any Essence products? What did you make of them? What cheaper make up brands do you love?

Lots of Love,
Laura x

  3. I absolutely ADORE Essence. They've been here in Australia for 2 years now, and they are seriously a favourite of mine. I'm a fan of their silky touch blushes and the longlasting lipsticks. However, the nail polishes are the highlight for me. I always can't wait for their trend editions to see the new polishes they come out with <3

  5. I have that mattifying powder in the color 'transparent'. Except it's not transparent, lol :-) Just a very very pale beige. So far I am not too impressed with it unfortunately.

  9. I can't get all that excited about Essence generally - I thinkit's because it looks a bit too 'cheap and cheerful' but... I love the look of those nail stripe stickers!
