Nars Lustre - Review and swatches

If your anything like me you may not quite be ready to give up on a summer glow! Well as summer is coming to an end and our tans start to fade I have a blusher that can give you back that subtle summer glow. it is the often over looked Lustre by Nars. In the pan it doesnt look anything special but it is swiftly becoming my go to blush.

Lustre is described as a Sheer golden apricot. I would say it swatches as a golden peach shade. It does have slight orange undertones but it comes across more corally rather than umpa lumpa! It has a sheen to the formula which add a beautiful glow to the skin. The sheen is really subtle and not at all shimmery so it flatters rather than highlighting flaws.

I would say its somewhere between a bronzer and a blush although I wouldn't recommend it for contouring you could without doubt give a light dusting on the forehead cheekbones and other places the sun hits for a beautiful sunkissed glow without being too dark. So perfect for fairer girls who want to add warmth yet are a bit put off by bronzers.

With a light hand it can give a real sheer glow, however like all Nars products I have tried it is extremely buildable as well as lasting up to 8 hours without fading . So although in the pan it looks quite bland, it is really worth a swatch. It is a really stunning and flattering shade and I will without doubt be repurchasing.

Have you tried lustre? What are your favourite Nars products? What products do you love that are often over looked?

Lots of Love,
Laura x
