Through the years some products reach cult status and todays review is one of these products. It's one of those products that I wonder what I did I without it! And it's not just me that loves Lanolips 101 Ointment it's worshipped by bloggers and beauty addicts the world over. It has won nearly every beauty award going including the best lip balm!

Lanolin is a 100% natural substance found on the woolly fleece of sheep that helps keep their coat protected and dry throughout the year.

So when the sheep have their fleece shorn in the summer months, this substance is harvested from the coats. It then goes through vigorous refining and cleaning, to create the Ultra pure medical grade lanolin, used in Lanolips. This pure chemical free lanolin is the only ingredient used in Lanolips, meaning not only is it chemical free it is hypoallergenic and fragrance free.

The multipurpose ointment can be use on everything from chapped lips, dry skin and to help keep your cuticles healthy. So it's the ultimate handbag accessory!

It comes in a pretty baby pink tube with a cute and glamorous cartoon sheep on it! A little goes along way and the balm is really thick., yet it soon melts into the skin once it's warmed up. So you can either roll the tube in your hands to warm it up before applying or rub the balm between your fingers before use.

I use mine nightly to hydrate my lips and leave them silky smooth in the morning. Also I use it straight after I have used my lip scrub to help keep them soft and chap free. By the time I have applied the rest of my make up, the balm has soaked into my lips and leaves a thin coating perfect for using a base to my lipstick. However if you have naturally supple lips you may find it to slick to use under lipstick and may be better off using as a lip treatment.

You can get your own Lanolips at Boots here.

Have you tried the Lanolips 101 ointment balm? Or any of the other pieces from their range? What lip products could you not live without?

Lots of Love,
Laura x
