I was contacted by JewelStreet recently and asked if I would like to review a piece from their site. JewelStreet is an online jewellery marketplace filled with boutique jewellery retailers. They have over 250 designers and brands, in a range of prices from as little as £20 to way up in the thousands. Meaning you can find something unique and different no matter what your price range. I found using the site a breeze and searching for the perfect item couldn't be easier. You can choose to browse through different types of jewellery styles or even prices. I made sure I tried out the online customer service chat, The staff where really helpful and friendly which makes such a big difference when shopping.

After spending hours searching through all the stunning pieces. I came across the boutique called Lily Blanche a beautiful brand created by Gillian and Lyndsey. Inspired by their grandmother, all the pieces are a beautiful blend of modern and vintage. I instantly fell in love with this pretty bracelet, called the Gold Vermeil padlock bracelet* with its delicate gold padlock and key.

The bracelet came cased in small black box with a gorgeous black bow wrapped around it. I felt like it was my birthday receiving such a beautiful little package. I couldn't wait to open it and have a peek.

This delightful and romantic bracelet features a gold vermeil heart shaped padlock as its centre point and is fastened with a tiny gold vermeil key. Crafted in sterling silver, the bracelet is 7.5 inches / 19.1 cm long. A pretty and original piece.

I adore how dainty the ball chain is, making it perfect for wearing on it's own for a classic look or for stacking with other bracelets. The mixture of both the silver and gold means you can easily team with other pieces of either colour that you already have in your collection.

I was over the moon at receiving this bracelet, It's super pretty and so timeless that I can see myself wearing it for years to come. If you are looking to treat yourself or to buy a gift for a loved one definitely check out JewelStreet as they have an amazing array of pieces to suit everyone's tastes.

Beachwear Wishlist

If you are planning a holiday abroad or just a trip to the seaside,. deciding what to wear over your cossie can be a real nightmare. You want something easy to take on and off as well as something stylish for when walking in the local shops and bars. Most of the beachwear around is fine for around the pool but do you really want to walk around town in a sheer wrap? With that in mind I put together my wishlist of beachwear cover ups and clothing.

Neal & Wolf - Sculpting Form Lotion

Neal & Wolf - Hair products - hair lotion - anti frizz products - style holding - hold - professional hair styling - review - swatch - sculpting form lotion - haircare

As a big hair lover, I really struggle with hold. Since all my recent colouring I've found that my hair doesn't hold a style as long as before and even with the smallest of product falls flat easily.  I often find products that offer hold can weigh the hair down or leave it looking dull and feeling crispy. After a chat with Neal & Wolf they recommended I tried the sculpting form lotion.*

Cased in a pretty shimmering off cream plastic bottle.
Form has been designed to help shape and hold the look you want with added benefit of head-turning texture and stunning shine.
Offering light to medium hold, FORM allows you to style while caring for your hair. It also retains moisture and prevents sun damage with UV protection.
The scent is fresh with a hint of floral. It smells amazing and the scent lingers in your hair till the next wash.

You only need the smallest amount, for my long hair I need less than a 10p sized squirt. Once applied evenly through the hair I then blowdry and style as normal.  I wouldn't say it really gave me much added volume but it did help to hold my style without that crisp feeling. My hair was shiny and had a lot of movement and body.

My hair is prone to frizz and when curled the ends can look a bit frazzled. Yet this left my hair looking sleek, not at all lank and smooth from root to tip. This would also be an amazing product for those with naturally curly hair, who want defined curls without any frizz!

The next morning my hair felt a little dry but still not crispy. The style had held well but due to the hold in the product it did feel slightly knotty so maybe best saved for nights out when you want polished hair and hold.

The only thing I would say is it is really easy to use too much product as there isn't much in the way of instructions. Other than that it is a fab product and definitely made a difference to my hair. My hair looks healthier and actually keeps its style when using it. You can get your own here.

Have you tried any Neal & Wolf products? What products do you recommend for getting your style to hold? Which hair products are you loving lately.

Billion Dollar Brows Treatment

If you haven't heard of Billon Dollar Brows before they are a company born in Beverley Hills that focus on eyebrows. They have an amazing range of brow cosmetics including their now infamous Brow Boost. Not only do they have a fabulous range of products for your brows, they also have their very own brow treatment which is available, after being a massive success in the US, in salons all over the UK.

With fans including Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Scarlet Johansson, Miley Cyrus and reportedly even Kate Middleton. I was soon tracking down my nearest BDB salon. The nearest salon to offer the treatment, is Indulgence in Bexleyheath. which luckily is relatively close.

Before booking I decided to ask The BDB team on twitter how long I should let my brows grow. The lovely people at BDB advised me that to get the best results you should let your eyebrows grow for 6 weeks. As a bit of a tweezer addict, this was a bit daunting, yet once I had let them grow abit I was dreading having to start grow them out again lol,so this saved me from giving in.

After a booking myself in with my friend Kate who also wanted a bit of a pamper. I popped in a few days before the treatment for a skin test. Which luckily I had no reaction to.

What They Say about the Treatment?

BDB are an eyebrow designing treatment which work out the eyebrow shape suited to your face, no stenciling, and certainly no guesswork! Using the Brow Buddy pencil new brows are designed to frame your face shape.  We work to shape and remove hair using  a unique cutting process, precision waxing and designated hair removal.

This treatment is quick, affordable, and suited to everybody! Whether you simply want a better brow shape, or you need to transform over plucked, misshapen, sparse brows, into stunning Billion Dollar Brows, this treatment is right for you

What Happens in The treatment?

Billion Dollar brows treatment includes a eyebrow shape, tint, trim and tweeze.

  • When I first went in to the treatment room, The lovely beautician explained that BDB is an on going treatment plan and that I will need repeated treatments to get the ultimate brow. So when the treatment is complete I may have to grow in certain parts of my brows to get the full BDB look.
  • So my eyebrows where mapped out to make sure my brows started and ending in the right place and to see where my arch should be.
  • Then my brows where tinted.
  • Once tinted my brows where waxed and trimmed, then any stray hairs where tweezered away. My therapist did explain that she was leaving hairs which needed to grow to give me the best shape.
  • I was then shown my brows and no word of a lie I was so impressed at how fab they look.
  • Yet the treatment wasn't over yet I was then shown the best way to fill in my brows and what shades will work best for me.

Billion Dollar Brows or HD Brows

Before the treatment I was really confused as to what was the difference between HD brows and BDB and was looking online for ages. So when at the salon I asked my beauty therapist as the Salon offers both treatments. She said the main difference is that HD brows use threading. Which gives a more harsh and defined look. Also BDB isn't a one off treatment, rather a treatment with a longer plan.

My Thoughts

I was actually blown away at how good my stumpy sparse brows looked after. I would definitely recommend the treatment to anyone who is looking to make the most of their brows. I'm leaving my brows alone  from now on and can't wait for my next treatment. The thing I love most about my new look brows is how good they look even without make up.

What do you think of my brows? Have you had the Billion Dollar Brows treatment? Do you get your brows done professionally or do you do them yourself? Let me know all your thoughts by commenting below.
