Just before Christmas Dave and I were lucky enough to be invited to stay the night at The Amba Hotel Marble Arch. Newly refurbished in its original Art deco style the 700 room hotel
is situated right on the corner of Marble Arch, so is perfectly positioned for a spot of shopping on the world famous Oxford Street.

Being just before Christmas we wanted to have a stroll around London and look at the Christmas lights and have a look around the shops. So we were eager to drop off our bags so we could get exploring. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the extremely professional and friendly staff. Whom we chatted away to while we were promptly checked in and told about the services available. The staff was ever so helpful and I can imagine would prove to  be invaluable to newcomers to London who want to make the most of their stay.

I couldn't believe how big and spacious our room was especially since we were in the centre of London. The room was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. Every room comes with a complimentary filled mini fridge, a fully stocked coffee machine and a massive smart TV. If that wasn't enough the room comes with a I pad for you to use during your stay. Through the I pad you can order room service, look and book hotel services. and also look up things to do in the area all on the app or you can simply use it to browse the web.

After a quick freshen up with the complimentary toiletries in the really roomy ensuite bathroom, with a full size bath and gorgeous rainfall power shower. We decided to take full advantage of the amazing location and pop just across the road to visit Winter wonderland in Hyde Park. Once we had our fair share of fun and Christmas snacks we took the two minute walk back to the hotel to sample the bar and put the in- house mixologist to the test.

The bar is without doubt my favourite part of the hotel, not only because of the colossal array of cocktails and drinks. The bar is beautifully styled in keeping with the 1930's feel, it gives a classy yet comfortable feel. The staff are on hand for your every need and serve some of the best cocktails I have ever sampled so well worth a visit.

When walking around the hotel its startling how vast the place is. Even with its recent refurbishment you still get the sense of the history of the hotel, with pictures of the hotel through the ages decorating the walls. Even the toilets off the lobby are styled to perfection with a powdering area with spot light mirrors on entry, very handy for a quick touch up.

After a perfectly undisturbed sleep and feeling surprisingly sprightly after so many cocktails we ventured to the Grill restaurant for our breakfast. Hoping it would live up to our late night meal we had delivered to our room which was overwhelming in size and couldn't have been tastier. Thankfully the breakfast didn't at all disappoint with an multitude of dishes available from a full English breakfast to fruit and cereals.

We were both really sad to leave as we had such a delightful stay and would have loved to have stayed longer to sample more of the Hotels delights including the deli snack bar and gym. I really did enjoy my stay and adored the luxurious feel of the hotel. I would without doubt jump at the chance to stay at the hotel again particularly since all this comes at such a reasonable price especially for such an amazing location. Room prices start at around £160 per room.

If you are looking for a city break or to treat yourself to a glamorous night up town, The Amba Hotel Marble Arch would be the ideal choice. Then once your feet can take no more from roaming the local landmarks and shops collapse into your super comfy bed or relax in the beautifully decorated restaurant or bar.

Lots of Love,
